Top 5 albums of 2015 from Top 3 Sources

I don’t know if the three of us are the top 3 sources but it sounded good as a title. You all can be the judge! Mark Levy the drummer for the Bozeman musical project, Ranges and a dear friend of mine who works as a pharmacist in Alaska, Brian Haviland and myself picked our top 5 albums of 2015. To be more accurate, Mark picked 6. Amazingly but not surprisingly, we all picked 5 different records. Keep in mind, we did not order our records numerically by awesomeness. They are all tied for the best of 2015. Please let Music For Lunch know your thoughts and feel free to tell the three “sources” they’re idiots and they missed all the great music of 2015. Email me your top 5 and I’lll share them on MFL’s Facebook!

Mark’s top 6 picks of 2015:

  1. Telekinesis – Ad Infinitum

“Perfect synth pop.”

2. Vince Staples – Summertime ’06

“Minimalist, eerie beats with great lyrical flow.”

3. Motorhead – Bad Magic

“Excellent Motorhead Rock and Roll. Lemmy is a true original. I will miss him.”

4. Beach Slang – The Things We Do To Find People Like Us

“Powerful tunes with hooks all over.”

5. Swervedriver – I Wasn’t Born To Lose You

“Sounding like a great continuation from Raise and Mescal Head.”

6. Iron Maiden – The Book Of Souls

“On par with some of their greatest work. Props to Bruce Dickinson for laying down fantastic vocals AFTER being diagnosed with throat cancer. He has made a full recovery and they will tour. I will go.”
